Venus and I

Venus took my hand and led me to Her mirror and said:

Look at my breast are they not formed in beauty? For they are the most glorious thing about me.

So said Goddess Venus.

Look at my belly, the womb, the wisdom keeper, fertile, and barren. Yes, it’s fat! Gorgeous and handsome, unique to my form.

So said Goddess Venus.

And oh my! Look at that mound of erotic pelvic awe! Mmm it’s all mine and I wine and dine, all the fucking time.

So said Goddess Venus.

Ooo and my thighs, my calves, and my toes! Hot damn, they are good enough to bring midnight sorrows. That’s why all the Gods and mortal beings come groveling to my feet.

So said Goddess Venus.

My hands and arms are so powerfully strong. Feminine and elegant my touch maybe, but piss me off and torn to shreds you will be.

So said Goddess Venus.

My neck, my lips, my nose, my eyes, my face! Behold the most awe-inspiring face! I summon love with the batt of an eye and bring the strongest to their knees when I smile.

So said Goddess Venus.

For my character my be one of hot and sweaty sex, but it is also so much more! I am great and mighty, for I am Goddess!

So said Venus.

Listen well mere mortal child, ‘tis I who dwell upon your lips and lead all desires to your hips. ‘Tis I who sits upon your soul and condemn any man or woman who looks at you in wow. You are marked from the very beginning and have the seal of the Old Gods upon your heart. It’s what makes you so set apart.

Fear not my dear one, for love awaits you under every earthy sun. Each lifetime you return, I make sure love embraces you and waits for you.

For you are Witch and Witch you will forever be, claimed by Goddess, aka me! The sweet whispers between mortal lovers and the soft caress of skin. ‘‘Tis love in all its forms. Bound one into the other, in perfect trust.

Yes, my child your lover is waiting. Of that I’ve made sure. For my children shall not go without love, be it man, woman, or beast. For love is a facet and beyond the thrusting of hips.

Yet be still and know that when your mind is made ready, your heart good and steady, and your spirit open and strong, your true lover will appear.

How stubborn and stupid are human ways, but mine extend the very forces and fabrics of time, logic, and meaning. For I am here, there, everywhere, and not!

Where are you my love? Where are you my child?

So said Venus.

  1. I identify with this. And I enjoyed reading. I like your personification of the Goddess. I’ve never felt quite up to snuff to do so, rather than stare at Her from afar with binoculars from my intellectual ivory tower.

I am not a Wiccan, rather a Folkish Heathen. But I’ve long been enthralled by the Venusian mysteries. For many reasons. If you’ll humour me some shameless self promotion, here are some of the footnotes from my own musings, less mythopoeically transcribed. If you don’t mind a little diversification of your opinions, I humbly submit my writing, as it is from the right.

    • Merry Meet,
Thank you reading and commenting. Ones doesn’t have to be Wiccan to have encounters with any of the Gods.
Sometimes They loudly come into our lives and other times They await us to come into Theirs.
I will gladly take a look at your writings!
      Thank you for sharing!

      Blessed Be!

      • I like your use of reverential language.

I myself would welcome a loud knock from the Gods. Part of what drove me to Odinism was the fact that spirituality is an intellectual exercise for me.

But definitely. There’s a universality that cuts above creedal disciplines.

        Godspeed!
