Begin with Deep Breathing
Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Allow your eyes to gently close.
Breathe in deeply through your nose for a count of three…
1… 2… 3…
Hold for a count of three…
1… 2… 3…
Now release the breath slowly through your mouth…
1… 2… 3…
Repeat this process five times, focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
Relaxation
Now, begin to relax and feel your body releasing the tensions of the day.
Visualize the tension leaving your feet, legs, waist, stomach, chest, shoulders, arms, hands, neck, and head.
Feel the sensation of peace flowing through your body.
(Pause for five seconds)
Imagery
Now, imagine in your mind’s eye:
• Red 7,
• Orange 6,
• Yellow 5,
• Green 4,
• Blue 3,
• Purple 2,
• White 1.
Count to ten:
1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10.
We are now in a state of Alpha brainwaves.
Hold your hands slightly above your head and move them over your body, giving yourself total clearance of incorrect energies.
Entering the Mind’s Theater
Now, pull yourself into the blank spaces of your mind.
Visualize yourself in a theater, gazing at a wide and vast black screen.
See it growing bigger and bigger until you are engulfed in total darkness.
This is a safe and comfortable place for you. Relax and take one deep breath.
The Journey Begins
See a light in the distance—a brilliant and beautiful white light.
As it grows, you begin to move towards it.
You are now standing before a large, ancient door.
Take a moment to observe every detail of this door.
Place your hand on it and push through to the other side.
The Nighttime Glade
Here, you enter a nighttime glade (music) where an old trail lies before you.
It has not been traveled by many, and it is hard to see what lies ahead, but the way forward is clear.
Look down and see the earthen path.
Take a moment to breathe in the cool night air.
This is a place of ancient serenity, and you feel called to move forward.
As you walk, take a moment to look up.
The sky is covered in pillowy clouds outlined in lustrous silver.
Pause for a moment and look with joyous anticipation as the clouds slowly part to reveal a full moon.
Everything is still and quiet.
The moon’s light cascades down to you, illuminating your surroundings.
You now realize you are standing in a woodland glade.
Before you, illuminated by the moon, is a large boulder.
You cannot see around it or over it.
Move toward it, observing its rough and weathered surface.
Reach out and touch it.
Feel the rocky texture and how it moves jaggedly across your skin.
Now, take a moment to sit down with your back against this magnificent rock.
Close your eyes and feel the earth supporting your back and bottom.
The Encounter
You suddenly hear a rustling.
From the sound, you know something is approaching from the woods.
You are not frightened, but your curiosity is piqued.
Open your eyes and slowly look around.
Something is coming around the boulder.
Its shadow is clear in the moonlight.
It appears and sits before you.
You lock eyes with each other and begin observing one another.
Take this moment to introduce yourself and ask them who they are.
Ask them why they appeared.
Take this time to look and ask them questions.
(Pause for a minute)
Farewell
The time with your new spirit friend has come to an end.
Thank them for their wisdom and for revealing themselves to you.
They now stand and begin to move behind the boulder.
You are alone and safe.
Returning
Stand up slowly and see the path again.
Begin moving forward until you reach the trail.
Look down and see the path; feel it beneath your feet.
Look up and see the moon shining in her brilliance.
Continue forward until you reach the door once again.
Take a moment to look at every detail—the smell, the touch, and pause to see what you taste.
Look at the door and see it open.
Move into the darkness.
(Stop music)
Close the door and know you are back in the theater.
Your eyes are closed. You are in your body.
You must now come out of Alpha.
Count to ten:
1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10.
Feel your feet and wiggle your toes.
Feel your legs, waist, chest, shoulders, arms, fingers, and neck waking up.
Slowly rotate your neck and take in a deep breath.
You are now out of Alpha and may open your eyes.
