Enchantment

Enchantment fell like dusk, draping its arms around me,

A whisper, a shiver, from mind to soul, a caress unbound,

Its touch hummed through marrow and thought,

A rapture of secrets, a song I had long sought.

Emotions unfurled, a haunting, bewitching refrain,

In my soul’s deepest chamber, mysteries awoke,

Ringing, ringing, an ancient chord struck deep,

Occult power stirring, through hidden paths it crept.

What I yearned for, returned, circling back like the ocean tide,

And I knelt in awe, bathed in Her sweet ecstasy,

Yes, enchanted, I succumbed to the pulse of the flame,

In flickering light, drawn into the dance of past and yet-to-be.

Round and round the circle spun, magick rising, ebbing,

Until…crack!…a whip of clarity snapped me whole,

Who I was, laid bare, yet reborn beneath Her gaze,

Enchantment, yes, the very weave of all I’ve ever been.

Drawn swifter, slower, caught deeper in Her spell,

With every breath, magick unfurled, tethered to my soul,

Deeper still I sank, to dreams edged in Witchcraft’s sigh,

This bliss, this touch of ancient flame.

Memories called, the veil grew thin,

Awe, how it parted, a tether loosened, free,

And there, at last, I see!

Queen of Witchery, I rise, to answer your chivalry!

Lord of Witches, breathe your strength within my form,

Enchant me, Mighty Ones, pull me into Wisdom’s gleam,

Goddess, pour blessings into my heart’s sacred well!

God, be my shield, my unyielding anchor and guide.

This, this is Enchantment.
